Biarritz Honeymoon: A Royal Resort In France

Biarritz Getaways - In the mid-17th century, Biarritz is only a small fishing village with 3,000 inhabitants. However, many reputable tourists are attracted to this magical place. In 1807, Hortense Queen could't tear herself away from the beauty of Biarritz; In 1830, the great writer Victor Hugo and his beloved Juliette Drouet came here and prayed "selfishly" that hope Biarritz never become fashionable. Of course, his prayer will not come true. Years later, Sacha Guitry wrote on a guest book at the Palace Hotel that if you are indecisive between two resorts, one of which must be Biarritz.

Biarritz has a unique and pleasant climate, long golden sandy beaches, magnificent scenery, huge boulders, and the Atlantic waves. Grande Plage is the largest and most fashionable beach. Plage de la Cote Basques is the annual pilgrimage place. Here walking is the best to the honeymooners. Walk between the cliff and beach with your beloved and enjoy the oak tree, purple and blue hydrangeas. It will certainly be a memorable and romantic honeymoon!

Romantic Getaways
When you will step on the land of Biarritz, you can find love in the air of the city. This historical port can be a sensational place for the romantic couples. Do not forget to buy chocolates while staying in Biarritz. If you want to taste some great seafood during your romantic staying, you must opt for Biarritz. You can have plenty of staying and dining options in the post city.

Renowned for some of Europe’s best surfing conditions, its impressive fin de siècle (end of the century) architecture, a choice of golf courses, luxurious spas, fine dining restaurants, al fresco cafés and hotels – including Napoleon’s former holiday villa – Biarritz is still one of Europe’s most stylish beach resorts.

Savour an al fresco espresso in the Place St Eugenie, which sits at the southern end of La Grande Plage, then admire the 12th century Eglise St Martin (church) before meandering down a switchback pathway to the picturesque Port des Pêcheurs, crowded with seafood restaurants.

From here you can descend a staircase along the paved allée Winston-Churchill to Plage Miramar or continue on to the 73m-high Phare de Biarritz lighthouse, which stands at the northern edge of Plage Miramar and offers panoramic views of the coast.
