Provence: The Ideal Honeymoon Resort

Located in southern France, Provence extends from the Mediterranean coast to the interior hilly areas. It can be the most romantic getaways worldwide. There are many historic towns and the bright sunshine and blue sky since ancient times that make people forget the time.

Baux de Provence, a must-see place in Provence, is a wonderful mediaeval village located unsteadily on a rocky outcrop in the Alpilles Mountain range just twenty kilometres south of Avignon.

Steep cobbled roads lead to a ruined castle, and also the scenes over the surrounding plains are rather amazing. 2,000,000 people pay a visit to Baux de Provence annually, and throughout the peak of the summer, this small village can be miserably overcrowded. It's the best choice to go there in early summer or autumn.

For nature loving people the Camargue
is definitely a entirely natural wetland in the Rhone delta that survived the destructive influences of man. The isolated place is inhabited by flamingo, wild horse, and the small fractious bulls that have been bred here for generations for the bull ring.

The Romans have undoubtedly left their mark on Provence. The attractive town of Orange has Roman ruins everywhere, from the marvelous amphitheatre to the entrance arch. Take in the spectacular Pont du Gard, the big and beautifully preserved aqueduct which is built by Roman slaves, as well, for a truly Roman experience.

If you love someone, take her to Provence together with you, enjoying the dreamy lavenders scattered over hill and dale and experiencing the extreme romance.
